Norm graduated from the University of Missouri-Columbia. His Bachelor of Health Services degree was in Health Services Management.

Post College
Norm is enrolled in the Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS) program through the Wharton School of Business. He has surpassed the midpoint in obtaining the CEBS designation.

In the State of Missouri, all insurance brokers are required to obtain continuing education credits. You obtain these credits by attending Missouri-approved insurance courses. Norm has been approved by Missouri to conduct such courses.

Business:

Lincoln National Life Norm's first business experience in the field of employee benefits was with a nationally recognized insurance carrier. He began as a direct HMO sales representative and ended his four year career with Lincoln as a group sales representative.

Charles L. Crane Agency Norm left Lincoln to become an insurance broker. He first served in this capacity as a producer at the Crane Agency. His primary responsibility was to maintain and add to the existing block of benefits business. After four years Norm left the Crane Agency to pursue greater independence and to generate his own block of business.

Benefits Design & Consultants BDC provided Norm with the opportunity to own his own business. Hence he generated his own clientele and eventually grew to the point where he was offered the opportunity to manage all the employee benefit clientele of the agency. As such, Norm's focus is upon: 1) Group Medical; 2) Group Life; 3) Group Dental; 4) Group Disability; 5) Group Voluntary Programs. Norm has been with BDC since 1992.
